How to use Extract Images

The tool walks every page and pulls out each embedded raster image at its original stored resolution — usually higher than what a screenshot of the page would give you — and hands them over as PNGs, individually and zipped. Report figures, product photos in a catalogue PDF, logos in a press kit: extracted, not screenshotted.

  1. Drop your file into the box above, or click it to browse. You can also paste from the clipboard.
  2. Adjust the options to taste — the defaults are sensible for most cases.
  3. Press Extract and watch the progress bar; everything runs on your device.
  4. Download your result — individually, or as a ZIP when there are several files.

Like every tool on ImageCompressorKits, this runs 100% in your browser: your file is never uploaded to any server, which makes it safe to use even with private documents — and it keeps working if you go offline after the page loads.

Frequently asked questions

Why did I get more (or fewer) images than I can see?

PDFs sometimes tile one visible picture from several embedded images, or embed images that are masked or reused across pages. The tool extracts what's stored, which doesn't always map one-to-one to what's visible.

What about vector graphics and charts?

Vector drawings aren't stored as images, so they can't be extracted this way — use PDF to JPG at 300 DPI to capture a page containing them as a picture.

Is this tool really free?

Yes — completely free, with no signup, no watermark, and no file limits beyond what your device's memory can handle.

Are my files private?

Yes. Processing happens locally in your browser via JavaScript; nothing is transmitted or stored. See our privacy policy for the full picture.
