Why does my PDF show a weird title in the browser tab?
Browsers display the metadata title, which authoring tools often leave as a temp filename like 'Document1'. Set a real title here and the tab, search results and reader apps all pick it up.
Does clearing metadata remove hidden personal data?
It clears the standard document-info fields, which is where names usually live. Embedded XMP data from some pro tools can persist; rebuilding via Compress PDF removes that too, at the cost of selectable text.
